It is with great sadness that I write this to inform you of the death of a great hockey mate.

Eric Cregan, netminder for GB Old Timers, Blackburn Falcons (and formerly Liverpool Leopards and Blackpool Seagulls) collapsed during a game at Whitley Bay on Saturday 10th November whilst playing against Durham Spartak. Sadly, he died later in hospital.

The funeral is at St Cuthbert's Church, Lytham Road, South Shore, Blackpool at 1pm on Monday 19th November.

A private internment will be followed by a get together at the Royal Pub, Marton Drive, St. Anne's.

Eric's wife (Moira) has suggested that if players wish to attend wearing their hockey shirts instead of the usual sombre attire they will be more than welcome.

Eric is being buried in his Oldtimers GB top and jeans. Would not have it any other way.
