Cobras continued their winning ways with a win at Bristol against Swindon ladies.

Swindon Topcats were at full strength and put pressure on Cobras defence from the start. In the eighth minute Karen Law was given a penalty for slashing and from the face off Swindon scored with Rachael Pullen putting a slap shot past Stella Jones, starting her first game in the Cobras net. The period continued with Cobras slowly improving and getting more time in the Swindon zone but unable to score.

The second period began much the same with Swindon attacking, trying to improve on their lead. Five minutes into the period Jess Bowman replaced Jones in the Cobras net. In the eighth minute Cobras equalised when Tara North converted a pass from Vicky Juniper. With seconds to go in the period Karen Law skated through the Swindon defence to score an unassisted goal and put Cobras in the lead at the interval. Cobras were fired up going into the third and Sam McLellan scored after fourteen seconds following some great interplay between Val Bennett and Tara North. Halfway through the period Law scored her second after a pass from Nikki Grant to make it 4-1. In the final minute Jo Snook flicked the puck out of defence to Gabbi Gunn who placed the puck into the top corner of the Swindon net to make the final score 5-1 to the Cobras and 11 wins from 11 games. Cobras next three games are away to Cardiff, Milton Keynes and Bracknell and are at home to Milton Keynes on 1st May.
